We believe third spaces are essential in fostering community. Hosting events, both private and public, has been a part of our vision since day one. We are eager to bring our customers a variety of opportunities to connect outside of our regular hours each month and are always open to new ideas!

Backyard Art Fair
Saturday, 5/9/26 from 11am-6pm
We are thrilled to participate in the Backyard Art Fair for the second year in a row :) Fun fact, we debuted our business at this event last year! We'll still be open with adoptable kitties in Eastern Market, but you can also come visit us in Oak Park for some pop-up specials. More info here!
Detroit Craft Club

Guess what? We'll be hosting Detroit Craft Club for a Bring Your Own Craft night the second Wednesday of EVERY month starting in May! We'll have plenty of cozy seating options and light drinks + snacks available for purchase, along with our books, stickers, and more. Register here (it's free)!
Flower Day Hours
Sunday, 5/17/26 from 10am-4pm
We'll be open to celebrate Flower Day in Eastern Market with you! Stop by our storefront and show us your flower purchases to get a FREE flower-themed acrylic bookmark, handcrafted by the owner of PurrFiction. We'll have two new staff members covering the register as well, so come say hello!
Book Swap Social

A dedicated event for book lovers to socialize, share recs, meet adoptable cats, and maybe discover their next favorite read. Bring up to 3 books in gently used condition and receive a swap token for each (all genres welcome). Unused tokens = same-day store credit. Tickets available soon :)
